• Referencing from 2D

This painting was made following the holiday course programme with the 2D print of a very ripe pineapple.

  • Observing the real thing

I tried to look at a real pineapple - we chose the ripest at the market we could find but the colours were still alot different so I ended up relying only on the 2D image.

  • Favourite colours

This piece of work is relatively easy for me. I enjoyed putting my favourite gold and yellow colours in, and the process of splattering the gold accents around in the background. I would touch up the sides of the pineapple to make it sharper and more brown as this was observed on the real thing. If I can change one thing about this, I will make the bottom leaves of the crown less uniform.
